Candidates for Exam 70-504 use Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 to build applications that automate workflow. Candidates should have a minimum of one year of experience developing either Windows-based or Web-based applications by using the .NET Framework and should be able to demonstrate the following by using Windows Workflow Foundation (WF).

It tests your skills that include Planning and Implementing: an Active Directory Infrastructure and User, Computer, and Group Strategies. You can also validate your knowledge in Managing and Maintaining an Active Directory Infrastructure, Planning and Implementing Group Policy and Managing and Maintaining Group Policy. Upon passing this test you will become a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). Passing this test will also help you in achieving the MCSE 2003 certification.

When you pass the Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Infrastructure exam, you achieve Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) status. You also earn credit toward the following certifications:

Microsoft’s 70-298 test is designed to measure your ability to analyze the business, technical, and security requirements, and create the Logical and Physical Design for Network Infrastructure Security. It also tests your skills required to design an Access Control Strategy for Data, and create the Physical Design for Client Infrastructure Security. Upon passing this test you will become a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). Passing this test will also help you in achieving the MCSE 2003, MCSE: Security and Citrix Certified Integration Architect (CCIA) certification.

This test consists of multiple choice, drag and drop, and simulation style questions. There is also Case study type and exhibit based questions. You will be required to attempt approximately 50-60 questions in 90 minutes. Cisco does not publish the pass score for the exam but it is generally considered that the passing score is 849 out of 1000.

This test consists of multiple-choice questions. There are no case study type questions and the test is not adaptive. You will be required to attempt approximately 98 questions in 90 minutes. To pass, you need a score of 675 on a 100-900 scale.
